Terms of Service & Asset License

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using rileyb3d.com ("the Site") or downloading any content from it, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and the Asset License set out below. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or download any content.

2. Definitions

• "Assets" — 3D models, textures, materials, and any other downloadable files available in the rileyb3d Library.
• "Tools" — Blender add-ons, Godot plugins, and other software distributed through the Site.
• "Training Content" — video courses, tutorials, and accompanying project files.
• "Project" — any personal or commercial work you create that incorporates Assets, such as a game, film, animation, render, or other production.

3. Asset License Agreement

Assets available on rileyb3d.com are not public domain and are not licensed under Creative Commons Zero (CC0). All Assets remain the intellectual property of rileyb3d. By downloading an Asset you are granted the following license:

3.1 Grant of License

rileyb3d grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to:

• Download and use the Assets in personal and commercial Projects.
• Modify, transform, or build upon the Assets as part of a Project.
• Include the Assets in shipped products — including games, films, animations, advertisements, and other productions — that are sold or otherwise distributed.

3.2 Restrictions — What You May NOT Do

• No Resale or Redistribution. You may not sell, sublicense, lease, give away, or otherwise redistribute the Assets (or any derivative that is substantially the original Asset) as a standalone file, asset pack, model kit, or library — whether for free or for a fee.
• No Marketplace Re-listing. You may not upload the Assets to any asset store, marketplace, or stock-content platform (e.g., Turbosquid, Sketchfab Store, Unity Asset Store, Fab, Itch, Gumroad, etc.) for distribution or sale.
• No AI / ML Training. You may not use the Assets, in whole or in part, as training data for machine-learning models, generative AI systems, neural networks, or similar technologies.
• No Claim of Ownership. You may not claim authorship or ownership of the original Assets, register any intellectual-property right over them, or misrepresent their origin.
• No Sub-licensing. You may not grant third parties independent rights to use the Assets outside of a Project you created.

3.3 Permitted Distribution Within a Project

When Assets are embedded or baked into a Project (for example, inside a packaged game build, a rendered video, or a compiled application), distribution of that Project is permitted — even commercially. The key distinction: the Assets must be a component of a larger work, not the primary deliverable.

3.4 Attribution

Attribution is not required but always appreciated. A credit such as "3D assets from rileyb3d.com" in your project's credits, README, or description is a great way to support continued free content.

4. Tools & Addons

Tools and addons distributed through the Site are open-source and licensed under their respective open-source licenses as specified in each project's repository. Those licenses govern your use, modification, and distribution rights for Tools — not this agreement.

5. Training Content

Training videos, courses, and tutorials are provided for educational purposes. You may not redistribute, resell, reupload, or republish Training Content (in whole or in part) on any platform without prior written permission. Project files distributed alongside courses are subject to the same Asset License above (Section 3).

6. Intellectual Property

All Assets, Training Content, site design, branding, and original content on rileyb3d.com are the property of rileyb3d and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you — only the limited license described above is granted.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to misuse the Site, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any service or system, scrape or bulk-download content through automated means, or use the Site for any unlawful purpose.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

All Assets, Tools, and Training Content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. rileyb3d does not warrant that downloads will be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, rileyb3d shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption — arising from your use of or inability to use the Site, Assets, Tools, or Training Content.

10. Termination

rileyb3d reserves the right to revoke the license granted in Section 3 if you breach any of these terms. Upon termination you must destroy all copies of the Assets in your possession that are not already embedded in a shipped Project. Projects completed and distributed prior to termination are not affected.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
